My career has been marked by a commitment to understanding and addressing the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive the highest quality education in the least restrictive environment.

I have a deep knowledge of the special education process, having served on Individualized Education Program (IEP) committees where I played a pivotal role in advocating for appropriate accommodations and modifications. My expertise lies in developing and implementing individualized instruction plans tailored to each student's strengths and challenges, utilizing scaffolding techniques to build their confidence and competence progressively.

In addition to my hands-on instructional skills, I am adept at conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, aiming to foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

A message from Jerrica. 

"Language and literacy are near and dear to my heart.  Dyslexia is rooted deep in my family. In fact, my late uncle, a hard working blue collar employee, who played a significant part in my upbringing, left this world with the inability to read.  It was at that moment, I declared to be one to impact the world of literacy. Through research and a number of literacy gurus at the University of Southern Mississippi, I found the field of speech, language, and dyslexia. Recently, I founded Hi Peak Literacy where with your help, I am devoted to providing therapeutic instruction that's bind by research to lead you and/or your loved one to your highest literacy peak."
